David Schwerd - COO
David is the COO of Diamond Shores LLC and manages all the operations of the company including oversight of new development projects, acquisitions, site design, as well as financial and legal matters.
Prior to joining in 2021, David was most recently the Director of Planning for Horry County South Carolina which was listed as the one of the fastest growing counties in the United States over the last five years. David has been involved in various capacities of planning and development over the last twenty-five years. He has served in roles related to economic development, financial and capital planning, site design and review, and traffic planning. He brings a wealth of knowledge on the governmental permitting, regulatory and entitlement systems.
David earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from East Tennessee State University and his M.A. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware.
Kyle Nobles, PE, - Engineering Manager
Kyle Nobles joined Diamond Shores in July of 2022 as a Civil Engineer and has since been been promoted to our Engineering Manager. Kyle was born and raised in Aynor, South Carolina where he still resides. He is a graduate of Clemson University, where he acquired his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 2010. After graduating from Clemson University, Kyle became a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of South Carolina. He has spent the last 12 years doing various engineering and construction related jobs in the grand strand area. Outside of work, Kyle is married to his wife Kate. Together they have two children, Webster who is 4 and Gabriel who is 7 months. Kyle is a big Clemson football fan and enjoys tailgating and attending games with his friends and family.
Jamie Steele - Planning Manager
Jamie joins Diamond Shores as our Project Manager of Engineering and Civil Designer. He brings 10+ years of experience in the Civil Engineering & Surveying industry. His specific areas of expertise include Land Planning, Civil Engineering Design & Permitting, as well as Project Management. While overseeing commercial and residential projects across Carolinas, he has also been actively involved in the conceptual design & planning, stormwater & utilities design/permitting all the way through construction closeout & coordination processes. Jamie has called the Grand Strand home for the past 22 years and has lived everywhere from North Myrtle to Pawleys Island. In his free time, you can find him playing baseball with his travel team, enjoying live music, or relaxing on the beach. He loves attending sporting events, especially Clemson football games and baseball games!
Dylan Andrew, LSIT - Land Development Manager
Dylan is a lifelong resident of Horry County and came to work with Diamond Shores in May of 2021. Dylan grew up in the small town of Aynor, but recently moved to Surfside Beach. In 2018, Dylan graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College with an Associates of Science in Civil Engineering Technology. After graduating from HGTC, he attended Coastal Carolina University, graduating in 2021 with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Science. While attending HGTC and CCU, Dylan began his career as a Land Surveyor and AutoCAD technician where he has over 5 years of experience. As of May 2022, Dylan is a registered Land Surveyor in Training and is currently working towards become a Professional Land Surveyor in the state of South Carolina.
Kris Touzel - Civil Project Manager
Kris joined the team as our Civil Project Manager. He was born and raised in Conway and graduated from Conway High School. He went on to work as a Sonar Technician in the US Navy and then received his Associates in Civil Engineering Technology from HGTC. Kris brings many years of experience in the Civil Engineering and Surveying industry and has worked for several different engineering firms across the Grand Strand.
Kris lives in Murrells Inlet with his wife and three children. In his free time you can find him going to the beach, going to NASCAR races, camping, kayaking, or travelling. We are very excited to have him on our team!
Todd Grinolds - Civil Project Manager
Todd joined the team as a Project Manager. He was born in upstate New York and moved to South Carolina in 1995. Todd graduated from Socastee High School in 1997 and then attended HGTC for their Civil Engineering program in 1998. He brings 25 years of civil engineering and design experience with him.
Todd lives in Conway where you can find him spending time locally with his girlfriend, Ashley, and their four kids. He also enjoys going to concerts, racing go karts, and local short track racing.
Jordan Rodes - Natural Resource Project Manager
Jordan joined the team as our Natural Resource Project Manager. She acquired her Dual Bachelors of Science from Furman University in Biology and Sustainability Science as well as a Masters in Plant and Soil Science from Alabama A&M University. Jordan has background working as an Environmental Scientist, GIS Analyst, and most recently as a Director of Natural Resources.
Jordan is originally from Georgia but grew up in Hartsville, got her undergraduate from Greenville, and then moved to the beach where she currently resides with her husband, David, and their three cats and bearded dragon. Jordan adores kayaking, fishing, and anything involving the beach. Further away from the water she like to hike, shoot skeet, and is an avid reader. Her absolute favorite thing to do is travel. Jordan's goal is to make it to all the continents before she's 50. So far, she has been to Europe, Africa, and Asia.
Marlene Nadeau - Chief Inspector
Marlene, a US Army Veteran, joined the Diamond Shores team as a Civil Engineering Technician! As a New Jersey native, she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Equine Science in 2013 from Rutgers University and moved down to Conway South Carolina. She briefly moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to start her career in the construction industry. Her first assignment was running an environmental team through United Infrastructure Group partnered with NCDOT/NCTA. When she saw the completion of the Monroe Bypass Design Build, she returned to Conway to serve as a Project Manager and Plan Reviewer through the Horry County Stormwater Department. Once she mastered the public sector, she decided to bring her skill set to the private sector. When not at work she spends her time raising her only daughter and enjoying any outdoor activity to include scuba diving, hiking and kayaking. She also keeps the memory of her late husband alive, a combat veteran who completed multiple tours overseas.
Zary Gouin, EIT - Civil Designer
Zary joined the Diamond Shores team this June as an Engineer in Training/Civil Designer. Recently in 2023, he graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. His previous experience includes an internship with Spartina Land Surveying and Development Resource Group. Zary was born and raised in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and he still resides there. Zary has been an avid golfer since middle school, and now plays every week. When he's not working or golfing, you can find him enjoying F1, NHRA, IMSA and all other types of motor racing!
James Pryor - Civil CAD Technician
James joined the team as a CAD Tech. James is a Conway, SC native. He attended Carolina Forest High School and graduated in 2021. James' prior experience in this field includes working as a CAD Tech for B.C. Moore Engineering. He recently graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College with an A.A.S in Civil Engineering Technology and is currently enrolled at CCU. In his free time, you can find James fishing or watching sport games.
James Blankenship - Civil Designer
James recently joined the Diamond Shores team this June as Designer I! He has an associate degree from HGTC and a bachelor degree from Coastal Carolina University, both being in engineering. James hopes to one day have a P.E. and P.L.S. He has previous experience with two other companies totaling over 4 years of involvement in the engineering field. He has worked on projects all over the U.S., enabling him to become diverse with the different regulations around the country. James was born and raised in the small town of Princeton, WV. In 2019, he and his family moved to the Grand Strand area and have been here ever since. James and his fiancee will be getting married in the spring of 2024. When he is not at work, you can usually find him on the golf course, fishing, and enjoying the beach!
Jackson Jenrette - Civil Designer
Jackson recently joined the Diamond Shores team in June 2023 as a Civil Designer. He graduated from Horry-Georgetown Technical College with an Associate Degree in Science for Civil Engineering Technology in 2012. Jackson began his Civil Engineering career in 2016 as a CAD Tech at G3 Engineering & Surveying where he worked his way up to Project Coordinator and Senior Field Representative. In 2021, he left G3 to work at Bowman Consulting Group as Designer 1 before being promoted to a Designer 2. Over the years, Jackson has gained experience with all forms of Civil Engineering including drafting, designing, construction, surveying, management, and more. Jackson was born and raised in Maracay, Venezuela, but in September of 2002 he moved to Houston, Texas. He lived in Houston for about a year before moving to the Myrtle Beach area, and has been here ever since. Jackson has two sons, Isaiah and Aiden. Jackson's favorite things to do in the Grand Strand are taking his kayak to the Cherry Grove marshes to fish, surfing wherever waves can be found, or playing soccer!
Gabe Brown - Civil Designer
Gabe joined the Diamond Shores team this July as a Civil Designer! Before college, he attended Aynor High School as well as the Academy for Technology and Academics to study Engineering. Gabe acquired an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering from HGTC and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Gabe's prior experience in this field consists of internships across the Grand Strand including time at Development Resource Group, Santee Cooper, and HTC, as well as Cox and Dinkins Engineering and Surveying located in Columbia, SC. Gabe was born and raised in Aynor, SC and still resides there. In his free time, Gabe can usually be found outdoors, relaxing on the boat or catching a fish.
Amanda Elliott - Permit Manager
Diamond Shores welcomed Amanda as our Permit Manager! With her she brought a decade of experience in managing and organizing paperwork, coordinating and managing the permit application process, and permit issuing. The foundation of all she does, both professionally and personally, is the development of strong relationships. Amanda is a Conway, SC native who graduated from Conway High School. She also graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College with an Associates in Applied Science, and from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys a good Netflix binge, college football, and river days. In the Fall she can be found at a Conway Tigers Football game watching her daughter cheer for the Conway Varsity Cheer Team and on Saturdays watching her compete for the Conway Varsity Competition Cheer Team.
Surveying
Marcus Clore, PLS - Director of Operations
Marcus serves as the Director of Operations and has more than 25 years of land surveying, land development, and design experience with residential and commercial projects primarily in Horry and Georgetown counties. A licensed Professional Land Surveyor in South Carolina since 2004, Marcus has experience in all aspects of surveying and mapping. Before joining Diamond Shores in 2021, he worked for the South Carolina Department of Transportation in the Construction and Permits Offices for over 11 years.
Hunter Alford - Surveying Manager
Hunter joined the Diamond Shores team in February of 2022 as our Land Surveying Coordinator and has worked his way up to being Diamond Shores Surveying Manager. He graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College in 2017 where he received an Associate in Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology. After graduating, he started his career as a CAD Technician and worked his way up to a Survey Manager position with his previous employer. Hunter is a proud lifelong Horry County resident who currently resides in Galivants Ferry with his wife, Savannah. Outside of work he enjoys golfing, Atlanta Braves baseball, and anything related to Clemson Athletics.
John Huemmer - Survey CAD Tech
John joined Diamond Shores in February of 2023 as a CAD Tech in the Surveying department with 2 years of surveying experience. He graduated high school in 2020 and moved to Horry County the same year. Recently, he graduated from HGTC with an A.A.S. in Civil Engineering Technology and plans on getting his bachelors degree from CCU. He has aspirations to become a PLS in the future. In his free time, he enjoys live music, playing golf, and watching football and hockey.
Evan Jordan - Crew Chief

Evan joined the team in 2021 as a Crew Chief and has since been promoted to Crew Chief Supervisor. Evan brought a year and a half of prior surveying experience with him. He was born in Conway, SC and attended Conway High School. Before joining the surveying trade, Evan worked as a Crew Chief with Conway Fence, where he spent ? years. His experience with fence has given him a unique attention to detail that he uses daily in the field.
Gavin Gravitte - Crew Chief

Cole Templeton - Crew Chief

Before moving to Diamond Shores, he worked as a ?. Outside of work you can find Cole on the river or cutting trees for his firewood business.
