David Schwerd
Chief Operating Officer
David is the COO of Diamond Shores LLC and manages all the operations of the company including oversight of new development projects, acquisitions, site design, as well as financial and legal matters.
Prior to joining in 2021, David was most recently the Director of Planning for Horry County South Carolina which was listed as the one of the fastest growing counties in the United States over the last five years. David has been involved in various capacities of planning and development over the last twenty-five years. He has served in roles related to economic development, financial and capital planning, site design and review, and traffic planning. He brings a wealth of knowledge on the governmental permitting, regulatory and entitlement systems.
David earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from East Tennessee State University and his M.A. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware.
Marcus E. Clore, PLS
Director of Land Development
Marcus serves as the Director of Land Development and has more than 25 years of land surveying, land development, and design experience with residential and commercial projects primarily in Horry and Georgetown counties. A licensed Professional Land Surveyor in South Carolina, Marcus has experience in all aspects of surveying and mapping. Before joining Diamond Shores in 2021, he worked for the South Carolina Department of Transportation in the Construction and Permits Offices for over 11 years.
Kyle nobles, pe
Civil Engineer
Kyle Nobles joined Diamond Shores in July of 2022 as a Civil Engineer. Kyle was born and raised in Aynor, South Carolina where he still resides. He is a graduate of Clemson University, where he acquired his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 2010. After graduating from Clemson University, Kyle became a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of South Carolina. He has spent the last 12 years doing various engineering and construction related jobs in the grand strand area. Outside of work, Kyle is married to his wife Kate. Together they have two children, Webster who is 4 and Gabriel who is 7 months. Kyle is a big Clemson football fan and enjoys tailgating and attending games with his friends and family.
jamie steele
Project Manager of Engineering & Civil Designer
Jamie joins Diamond Shores as our Project Manager of Engineering and Civil Designer. He brings 10+ years of experience in the Civil Engineering Design background. His experience has been contributed to land planning, civil engineering design & permitting, as well as, project management. With this, his project management experience has been spent overseeing various commercial and residential projects in the Carolinas, as well as, many other projects in other areas of the country. This includes anything from conceptual design & planning, stormwater design, water & wastewater design, all the way through construction closeout process & coordination. Jamie has called the Grand Strand home for the past 22 years and has lived everywhere from North Myrtle to Pawleys Island. In his free time, you can find him on the baseball diamond playing on his annual league team in the Charleston area or traveling the around the Country playing in various baseball tournaments. He also enjoys live music, or relaxing on the beach. He loves attending sporting events, especially Clemson football games and any sort of baseball game!
Dylan Andrew, LSIT
Project Manager
Dylan is a lifelong resident of Horry County and came to work with Diamond Shores in May of 2021. Dylan grew up in the small town of Aynor, but recently moved to Surfside Beach. In 2018, Dylan graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College with an Associates of Science in Civil Engineering Technology. After graduating from HGTC, he attended Coastal Carolina University, graduating in 2021 with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Science. While attending HGTC and CCU, Dylan began his career as a Land Surveyor and AutoCAD technician where he has over 5 years of experience. As of May 2022, Dylan is a registered Land Surveyor in Training and is currently working towards become a Professional Land Surveyor in the state of South Carolina.
Kris Touzel
Civil Project Manager
Kris joined the team as our Civil Project Manager. He was born and raised in Conway and graduated from Conway High School. He went on to work as a Sonar Technician in the US Navy and then received his Associates in Civil Engineering Technology from HGTC. Kris brings many years of experience in the Civil Engineering and Surveying industry and has worked for several different engineering firms across the Grand Strand.
Dave Thomas
Project Manager
Dave Thomas serves as a Project Manager for Diamond Shores. He joined the team in November of 2021 and brings with him 3.5 years of experience in Land Planning. He has helped design several parcels within Horry & Georgetown County ranging from Commercial, Residential, and Industrial. He aims to help in expanding the local infrastructure to support the rapidly growing population by applying sustainable land management practices to ensure safe & efficient growth. Dave graduated from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in May of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Safety, and Technology.
Todd grinolds
Project Manager
Todd joined the team as a Project Manager. He was born in upstate New York and moved to South Carolina in 1995. Todd graduated from Socastee High School in 1997 and then attended HGTC for their Civil Engineering program in 1998. He brings 25 years of civil engineering and design experience with him.
Aaron Norris
Financial Analyst
Aaron Norris, financial analyst, is local to Conway. Aaron attended Conway High School where he graduated in 2016. He then went to Horry Georgetown Technical College where in 2017 he graduated with an Associates of Science. Afterwards, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. Recently, Aaron graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Economics.
Hunter Alford
Land Surveying Coordinator
Hunter has joined the team as our Land Surveying Coordinator. He received his A.A.S in Civil Engineering Technology from Horry Georgetown Technical College. He has 5 years of experience with surveying full-time. After graduating, he began as a CAD Technician and worked his way up to a Surveying Manager with his previous employer. He was born and raised in Aynor, where he still resides.

Administrative Assistant
Katlyn serves as our Administrative Assistant and joined the team in August of 2022. Her role with Diamond Shores provides support across all departments. Katlyn’s background includes over six years of customer service and hospitality, as well as a year of ecommerce merchant experience. She was born and raised in Conway, South Carolina and attended Carolina Forest High School. She is a member of Grand Strand Young Professionals.
